Homemade Granola is a staple in our pantry! It is simple to make, stores easily and your house smells like Christmas when you make it!!! This recipe is so easy, my teenagers make it themselves all the time! You can easily mix up the ingredients if you prefer, this is so good with dried apricots and pecans as well. Make it your own!

How to Make Homemade Granola

This recipe is simple to make and ready in just 30 minutes!! To make this recipe you will start by combining the oats, coconut, chia seeds and slivered almonds.

Add in the melted coconut oil and gently fold into the oats mixture until everything is well coated. Pour in the honey, stir and add the cinnamon. Continue stirring until everything is combined.

Pour the mixed granola onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased with cooking spray or oil. Place in a 325ºF oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, giving it a stir after 10 minutes.

Remove the cooked granola from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet. After about 5 minutes, break up the granola with a spatula or wooden spoon. Add the dried cranberries and start snacking.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 cup coconut, sweetened
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325ºF and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine the oats, coconut, chia seeds, and slivered almonds. Pour in the melted coconut oil and fold into the oats mixture until everything is coated.
  • Add the honey and stir to combine. Sprinkle with cinnamon and fold in until well mixed in.
  • Pour the mixed oat mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread out into a single layer on the pan. It is fine if it is touching.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden
  • Remove the granola from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Break up the granola with a spatula or wooden spoon and add in the dried cranberries.
  • Store in a dry place in a zip top bag or air tight container.
