This Chicken and Gravy Recipe is pure comfort food. Chicken and Gravy is surprisingly easy to make and uses ingredients you most likely already have in your pantry.
In a large 12 inch skillet over medium high heat melt the butter. Turn the heat down to medium and add in the thyme sprigs. Cook and stir for about 1 minute until fragrant. Remove the thyme sprigs and discard.
Whisk in the flour and stir until it is all combined with the butter.
Pour in the chicken broth and stir until the gravy is smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook and stir until the gravy is thickened.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and Worcestershire.
Add in the shredded chicken and serve.
