These Teriyaki Shrimp Skewers are so simple to make and only take a few minutes to grill up. Marinated in a homemade teriyaki sauce and threaded onto wooden skewers to grill, these make a fun, hands on meal to make and eat.
Prepare the homemade teriyaki sauce by combining all of the sauce ingredients in a large measuring cup or mixing bowl.
Place the shrimp into a bowl and pour half of the sauce over the shrimp. Toss to coat.
Allow the shrimp to sit for 10 minutes in the sauce.
Thread the shrimp onto skewers and grill over medium high heat about 3 minutes per side.
When the shrimp is pink and cooked through brush with more of the remaining teriyaki sauce and cook for 30 seconds longer.
Remove from the grill.

To thicken the remaining sauce mix in 1 teaspoon of cornstarch and pour into a saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
