Delicious, chocolatey, fudgy Cocoa Powder Brownies are so easy to make. This recipe for brownies made with cocoa powder can be made in one bowl and comes together quick. The addition of cocoa powder in this brownie recipe adds a rich, chocolate flavor that is irresistible.
Preheat oven to 350º F and prepare a glass 9 x 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray
In a large mixing bowl whisk together the oil and sugar
Add in the eggs and vanilla and whisk until just combined
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder and salt to the wet ingredients.
Using a spatula, fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined
Spread out evenly into the prepared baking dish
Bake for 25 minutes. Allow to cool before slicing
Notes
If baking in a metal baking pan, check the brownies at 20 minutes to be sure the edges aren't burning. Take out of the oven if the brownies are done at this time.
I just use Hershey's unsweetened cocoa for this recipe, you can use Dutch processed or another kind as long as it is unsweetened
If adding in additional ingredients, such as nuts, add into the wet ingredients before sifting in the dry ingredients
Use a mesh strainer to easily sift the dry ingredients into the wet
