Preheat oven to 350℉ and grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Continue to cook and stir until the butter forms little brown specks, changes to a darker color and has a nutty smell, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from the heat.
In a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer combine sugars, eggs, vanilla and pumpkin puree until smooth. Add in the cooled browned butter and mix to combine.
Sift in the dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking soda, and pumpkin spice).
Use mixer to combine until dough is formed. Mix in the chocolate chips with a spatula until well incorporated.
Press evenly into prepared pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes until edges are golden and the center is cooked through.
