Toasted Marshmallow Rice Krispie Treats Recipe-Made in a Cast Iron Skillet
Crispy, toasted bits of marshmallow mix in with the soft creamy, melted marshmallows to make a crunchy, caramel-y flavor that is hard to resist. These Rice Krispie Treats are perfect for a simple weeknight treat or make a batch for the next potluck or family get together and watch them disappear.
Place 1/4 cup butter into the bottom of a 12 inch cast iron skillet. Top with 10 ounces marshmallows. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes until the marshmallows are fluffy and browned and the butter is melted. Keep a close eye on them so they don't burn.
Stir the marshmallows and butter together then add in the 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal fold into the marshmallow mixture until combined.
Press evenly into the cast iron skillet, slice and serve.
