This Cookies and Cream skillet cookie recipe takes everything you love about the classic combo of chocolate and cream-filled cookies and turns it into a warm, gooey, and utterly irresistible treat.
Preheat oven to 325º F. Grease a 12 inch cast iron skillet if not already seasoned well.
In a large mixing bowl cream together butter, brown sugar, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix with an electric mixer until well combined.
Add flour, baking soda and salt to the butter mixture and mix until a soft cookie dough is formed.
Using a spatula or wooden spoon, fold in the broken chocolate cookie pieces and crumbs until mixed throughout the cookie dough.
Spread the cookie dough evenly out into the prepared cast iron skillet and bake for 20-25 minutes. The edges of the cookie will be browned and a toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
Allow to cool in the pan for 10-25 mintues before slicing.
