Instructions
In a large mixing bowl combine 4 cups of the flour, yeast, sea salt, and sugar.
Mix together the melted butter and water. Pour into the mixing bowl with the flour and mix with a wooden spoon or in a stand mixer with the dough hook until a soft ball is formed. Add more flour as needed one tablespoon at a time.
Knead the dough for 1-2 minutes. Cover with a clean towel or plastic wrap and allow to rise for 1 hour. The dough will be sticky and bubbly.
Preheat oven to 400º F and grease a 12 inch cast iron skillet. While the oven is heating. Pour the dough out onto a floured surface and form into a round ball by pulling towards yourself on the counter.
Place the bread dough into the center of a 12 inch cast iron skillet. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Until the dough is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and cool on a cooling rack for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Brush melted butter over the warm bread as desired for a shiny, outer surface.
