This Soy Ginger Flank Steak Marinade is perfect for taking a plain steak to an extraordinary steak! Soy, ginger, lime, apple cider vinegar, oil, ginger, cilantro, maple and garlic add so much flavor and tenderness to flank steak every time.
In a gallon sized zip top plastic bag or air tight container, combine the ingredients of the marinade.
Place flank steak in bag with marinade and seal tightly, releasing all of the air. Once the bag is sealed use your hands to mix around the ingredients of the marinade and make sure all of the steak is covered.
Place the steak and marinade in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours before grilling.
Heat grill to high heat.
Remove the flank steak from the marinade allowing any excess marinade to drip off back into the bag. Discard the marinade.
Place the steak on the grill and cook on each side for 5-7 minutes, until the steak reaches your desired doneness.
Remove steak from grill and allow to rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing against the grain to serve.
To cook this steak in the oven:
Preheat the oven on Broil
Grease a baking sheet or Broiler pan with cooking spray.
Place the steak on the Broiler pan and into the oven 6 inches under the broiler.
Cook the steak for 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked to desired doneness.
