  • 1/2 cup Biscoff cookie butter
  • 1 6 ounce bag chow mein noodles
  • 1/2 cup egg shaped candies

No baking required for this simple treat. Just your microwave and stirring skills.

How to Make Chocolate Covered Birds Nests

Just a few simple steps make these chocolate covered chow mein bird’s nests so easy to make, ready in just a few minutes!

In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips for 1-1 1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until all the chips have melted.

Remove the bowl from the microwave and stir in the Biscoff cookie butter until completely combined. Fold in the chow mein noodles and mix until the noodles are all coated in the chocolate mixture. Using a cookie scoop or large spoon, scoop out each nest and place on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. While the chocolate is still melty, place the candy eggs on top of the nest, pressing down to make sure they are secure in the chocolate.

Allow the chocolate bird’s nests to cool completely by either leaving out to cool, placing them in the fridge or even the freezer until the chocolate has hardened and they can be handled easily.

Chocolate Biscoff Bird's Nests

Ingredients

  • 1 12 ounce bag milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Biscoff cookie butter
  • 1 6 ounce bag chow mein noodles
  • 1/2 cup egg shaped candies

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  • In a large microwave safe bowl pour in the chocolate chips. Microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes until chocolate has melted completely, stirring every 30 seconds. 
  • To the melted chocolate add the Biscoff cookie butter and stir to combine. The cookie butter will just melt into the chocolate. 
  • Fold the chow mein noodles into the chocolate mixture until they are all well coated. 
  • Using a cookie scoop or large spoon, scoop the chocolate covered chow mein noodles onto the prepared baking sheet, making sure to leave space between each nests. 
  • Place the egg shaped candies on top of the nests pressing down slightly to make sure they are sticking to the chocolate. 
  • Allow the nests to cool until firm. This can be done for a few minutes in the freezer, fridge or left out to cool, which will take longer.
