Easy Lemon Bars

If there was ever a day where I had to chose which dessert was my favorite, it would be Lemon Bars. These are my go to treat, I just love the buttery crust and the lemon flavor bursting from the custard. If ever I see a lemon bar at a cafe of restaurant, you better believe that is what I am going to order.

When it comes to a Lemon Bar, the crust to custard ratio needs to be perfect. If the crust is too thick, it just makes the lemon bar taste dry and pretty tasteless. If the custard is too thick, the flavors can be overpowering! This Easy Lemon Bar Recipe has a perfect ratio fo crust to custard allowing you to taste both the buttery and lemon flavors.

How to make Lemon Bars

It just takes a few simple steps to make these delicious lemon bars. Start the recipe by making the crust.

Crust:

  • To make the crust: combine together flour, cold butter and powdered sugar. Cut the butter into the flour and powdered sugar mixture until it resembles fine sand. This can be done easily by grating the butter with a cheese grater, cutting it in with 2 knives, using a pastry cutter or even the back of a fork.
  • Bake the crust in a 350º F oven for 15 minutes
