How to make French Toast

This French Toast comes together with just a few simple ingredients and steps to cook and have it on the table in no time at all.

  • Start this french toast recipe by first whisking the eggs in a wide bowl. I often will use a pie pan or even an 8 x 8 inch baking dish.
bowl of whisked eggs with milk and spices
  • Once the eggs are all whisked and starting to get bubbly, add in the milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and vanilla.
  • Continue to whisk together until the ingredients are all mixed and well combined. Watch for large lumps of cinnamon or even brown sugar.

  • Place the dipped french toast onto a buttered skillet or griddle and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side. Cook until the french toast is golden brown on each side.

How to keep French Toast Warm

If you are like us and need to feed a whole lot of people, the best way that I have found to keep these warm, where they won’t get soggy, is in the oven. Turn the oven to Warm or set to 200º F, place a baking sheet inside the oven and as your french toast is cooked, place onto the baking sheet until you are ready to serve.
