Instructions to Make Halloween Brookies
Let’s walk through the simple steps to make these Halloween Brookies. This recipe is so simple to make and comes together quick.
Step 1: start by mixing together the brownie recipe according to the package instructions on the mix that you purchased. Be sure not to over mix the brownie batter, this will make fluffy brownies.
Step 2: mix in about 1/4 cup of the Halloween candies into the brownie mix
Step 3: pour the brownie batter evenly into a well greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish
Step 4: place the premade cookies on the brownie batter, spacing them out so they won’t spread into each other while baking.
Step 5: bake the brookies at 350º F for 28-30 minutes, or until a tooth pick comes out with just a few crumbs from the center. I usually bake the brookies according to the package directions from the brownie mix, so please refer to that as needed.
Place additional candies on top after baking if yours have dissappeared into the batter while cooking. Allow the brookies to cool completely before slicing. One trick to easily slicing brownies, is to use a plastic knife, they slide right through and won’t tear the brownies.
Can I make Halloween Brookies Ahead?
It is easy to make this brookie recipe a few days before your party. Simply keep the brookies covered with plastic wrap or in an air tight container to keep them fresh until you are ready to serve.
