Honestly, this popcorn recipe couldn’t be any easier.
How to make Peanut Butter Popcorn Recipe
To make this peanut butter popcorn recipe start by popping the popcorn. As state above you can use either microwave popcorn or pop your own popcorn on the stove or in an air popper. Once you have the popcorn popped, pour the popcorn onto a baking sheet and remove any kernels that did not pop, nobody wants to bite down on of those.
Place the peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute, until it is smooth and stirs easily. Pour the honey into the peanut butter and mix until well combined. If needed place back into the microwave for 30 seconds.
This step can also be done in a pot over medium heat if you don’t want to use the microwave.
Pour the peanut butter and honey mixture over the popcorn quickly while it is still warm and smooth. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to mix the peanut butter and popcorn and make sure the popcorn is all covered.
Once the popcorn is all covered in the peanut butter and honey mixture. Place the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until the chocolate is melted.
Drizzle the melted chocolate over the popcorn by dipping a fork into the chocolate and passing it back and forth over the popcorn to create strings of chocolate.
Another way to drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn would be place the melted chocolate in a zip top bag and cut a little edge off of one of the corners, then drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn.
Place the popcorn in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to allow the chocolate and peanut butter to cool and harden. Once the chocolate and peanut butter has hardened and cooled, remove from the refrigerator and break up into pieces. Place in a bowl and serve.
How to store chocolate peanut butter popcorn:
If, by some chance you don’t devour all of this deliciousness within the first day, this popcorn can be saved in an airtight container for at least 2 days. I suggest storing in the fridge to help keep the peanut butter and chocolate firm.
