Jalapeno Popper Cups

If you’re anything like me, you could make a whole meal of just appetizers and these easy jalapeno popper cups would be at the top of the list. Like my recipe for jalapeno popper stuffed mushrooms, these jalapeno popper bites are bursting with flavor that will have your taste buds singing and reaching for more.

The jalapeno popper filling is a traditional cheese filling with jalapeno and bacon stuffed inside either a wonton wrapper or a gyoza wrapper, then baked in the oven until the outside is crispy and the jalapeno filling is soft and creamy.

Making Jalapeno Popper Bites

Let’s walk through the simple steps to making jalapeno popper bites at home.

Start by pressing the wonton wrapper or gyoza wrapper into a mini muffin tin. You might need to fold over and pinch the wrapper together in some spots to help it stay in the pan. This also makes for a nice crunchy bite after it has baked.

Bake for just 10 minutes while you make the jalapeno popper filling.

Making the Jalapeno Popper Filling

To make the filling, start with softened or room temperature cream cheese. I like to stir it with a spoon a few times just to make sure it is soft enough and get it spread out.

Add in the shredded cheese, bacon, garlic powder and diced jalapenos. Mix it all together until it is well combined.

Scoop about one tablespoon of the jalapeno popper mixture into each of the prepared cups that have been placed into the muffin tins.

Lastly, bake the jalapeno cups in a 350º F oven for 10-12 minutes, until the outsides are browned and crispy and the cheese mixture is melted and bubbly.

I’m drooling just thinking about these, definitely time to make another batch!
