Pumpkin Spice Waffles
If you want your home to smell like Thanksgiving, Christmas or just the whole Fall season, then making these Pumpkin waffles is a must!! These pumpkin spice waffles have pumpkin puree, the basic ingredients for buttermilk waffles and a touch of pumpkin pie spices. I dare say, I like prefer these waffles with pumpkin and spices over just a plain buttermilk waffle.
Can I Freeze Pumpkin Waffles?
This recipe for Pumpkin Waffles is easy to make ahead, or make a double batch to eat some now and save the rest for later.
If you want to freeze these pumpkin waffles, fully cook them and allow them to cool completely. Place into a freezer zip top bag and place in the freezer for up to 3 months. A tip I like to do when placing these into a bag, is to put a piece of parchment between each waffle. This makes it so much easier to get out individual waffles at a time.
How to Reheat Frozen Pumpkin Waffles
If you do have some of these pumpkin waffles in the freezer, there are a few ways they can be reheated. First, is right in the toaster. Break the waffles into the four smaller triangular pieces and place into the toaster. Cook until heated through.
To reheat in the microwave, place on a plate and top with a paper towel to absorb any excess liquid. Microwave for 1 minute and then 30 second increments until it reaches the desired temperature.
To warm in the oven, place a few waffles on a baking sheet and put into a 250º F oven. Heat for 5-10 minutes, until the waffles are warmed through.
