Air Fryer Pork Chops
Our air fryer is one of the most used appliances in our kitchen, in fact we have 2! The air fryer makes cooking so quick and easy. I think my kids actually use the air fryer the most and I love that they can and will make things for themselves like some simple chicken wings, hard boiled eggs or even a grilled cheese sandwich.
This recipe for air fryer pork chops is so simple and quick to make, it is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner any day of the week.
How to Cook Pork Chops in an Air Fryer
Follow these easy steps to get perfectly cooked pork chops every time.
- To start, get your air fryer heating up to 375º F
- Mix together a simple rub of garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper and brown sugar.
- Pat the boneless pork chops dry with a paper towel and then season on both sides with the spice rub mixture. Sprinkle to spice rub on and then be sure to pat it into the meat of the pork chops to be sure that they are all well seasoned.
- Spray the inside basket of your air fryer as needed to prevent sticking while cooking.
- Place the pork chops into the basket of your air fryer being sure that they are not overcrowded in the basket. They should have about an inch between them.
- Place the basket back into the preheated air fryer. Cook the pork chops for 5-7 minutes, open the air fryer and flip the pork chops over. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until they reach an internal temperature of 145º F
- Remove the pork chops from the air fryer to a clean plate or cutting board and allow to rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
To check the temperature of the pork chops I like to use an instant read thermometer. The thermometer I always use and recommend is the Thermapen One.
Which Pork Chops Should I Use?
For this air fryer pork chops recipe I like to use a boneless pork chop. I also prefer that it is at least 1 inch in thickness.
You can substitute bone in pork chops if that is what you have available. If using bone in pork chops, increase the cooking time 3-4 minutes as bone in will take a bit longer to cook.
