Grape Salad is definitely one of those ‘salads’ that could easily pass as a dessert as well!! The brown sugar adds a delicious taste of caramel throughout this creamy treat!
We love to take this salad along when we are going to a big get together with the whole fam, it easily feeds a whole crowd!! This is one you will be going home with an empty bowl!
How to Make Creamy Grape Salad
This salad comes together QUICK, like in under 5 minutes!! Rinse the grapes and remove them from the stems, I like to make sure they are dried by placing them on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to get off any excess water, you don’t need it for this recipe. 🙂
In a medium mixing bowl mix the cream cheese with a hand or stand mixer until smooth. Add in the vanilla and mix.
Once that is smooth add in the sour cream and sugar, mix until well combined and smooth. It will have the consistency of a light frosting.
Pour this mixture over the grapes in a large bowl. Fold the grapes and the dressing together until all of the grapes are incorporated.
Just before serving top the salad with the brown sugar and pecans.

Can I make Grape Salad ahead?
This salad can be made ahead. I wouldn’t make it anymore than 24 hours in advance. To make this grape salad ahead, make the dressing and combine it with the grapes. Store in an air tight container or covered in plastic wrap in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Just before serving sprinkle with the brown sugar and pecan pieces.

Can you add cool whip
I have never made this salad with Cool Whip. Let me know if you give it a try and how it turns out for you.
I make a grape salad but I put a couple cups of grated cheddar cheese. 1/3 cup mayo, 1/3 cup Greek yogurt, 1/3 cup sour cream. Mix and pour over the grapes and cheese.
Sounds like a delicious variation of a grape salad.
I make this but I add craisens for more colore
Great suggestion! Thanks for your comment!
Can you substitute Stevia for the sugar and coconut sugar for the brown sugar?
