How to Make Turkey Sausage with Potatoes
Just like this recipe has just a few ingredients, it only takes a few simple steps to make. Let’s walk through the simple steps it takes to make this easy dinner recipe:
Step 1: Start with a large, 12 inch skillet, over medium heat. Add in the olive oil and potatoes. Cook the potatoes until just crispy for 4-5 minutes.
Step 2: Add the onion and garlic into the same pan and cook for about 1 minute.
Step 3: Add in the sliced turkey sausage with the apples, thyme, salt and black pepper. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until the potatoes are soft and the turkey sausage is heated through and browned. Add additional oil if needed.
Step 4: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the pan just before serving.
How to Store Leftovers

Turkey Sausage with Potatoes and Apples

Ingredients
- 13 ounces turkey sausage sliced into 1/4 inch rounds
- 6-8 red potatoes unpeeled and sliced thin
- 1/2 red onion sliced thin
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 gala apples sliced into small pieces
- 1 tablespoon thyme leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Place a large, 12 inch skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and potatoes, season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until just crisp on the outside.
- Add in sliced onion and minced garlic. Cook and stir for an additional 1 minute
- Add sausage, apples and thyme to the pan and stir to combine. Continue to cook and stir the pan until the potatoes are soft and the turkey sausage is heated through, about 4-5 additional minutes.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the pan and serve.
