Sauteed Broccoli

It’s one of those crazy nights, everyone has to be in a different place at the same time!! You’ve got your main dish planned and ready to go, but what are you going to eat besides that chicken tonight?!

I’ve got your back!! This Garlic Butter Broccoli is your answer! Not only is broccoli so good for you, it is easy and quick to put together and of course goes good with whatever you are serving for dinner!

I have even been known to put out a bowl of this before dinner as a little appetizer and it is always devoured in a matter of minutes!

How to make Garlic Butter Broccoli

First start by chopping the broccoli. Remove the crown from the stem and cut the broccoli into bite size pieces.  In a skillet or cast iron pan over medium heat, pour in some olive oil and heat until shimmering.

Add the chopped broccoli to the pan and cook and stir for about 5 minutes, until the broccoli is tender.

Once the broccoli has become a beautiful dark green, you are ready to add in the goodness! Add in a tablespoon of butter and one clove of minced garlic and cook for another 3-5 minutes. Enjoy the delicious buttery garlic smells coming from that pan!!

That’s it! You are in Garlic Butter Broccoli heaven. I have to swat teenager hands out of the pan before serving.

It’s usually half gone before it hits the table. I’m not complaining about that….I feel like it is a win if I can get them to eat broccoli by the handfuls.

Can I make use Frozen Broccoli for this recipe?

This recipe can easily be made using frozen broccoli if that is what you have on hand. Cook the broccoli in the microwave according to the package instructions then transfer to the pan to add the butter and garlic.

You can also place the frozen broccoli in the pan with a few tablespoons of water, cover and cook until tender. Then saute in the pan with garlic and butter.
