Peach Freezer Jam Ingredients
All you need to make this simple peach jam recipe is the following:
- 2 cups yellow peaches peeled and sliced into chunks
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
How to make Peach Jam
Peel the peaches and slice into small chunks until you have about 2 cups of fruit. Place the peaches in a saucepan or pot over medium heat. Stir in the lemon juice and the sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and turn the heat to medium low, keeping the mixture boiling.
Stir occasionally to make sure the peaches don’t burn on the bottom of the pan. Allow the mixture to boil for 10-12 minutes until the peaches are softened and the mixture begins to thicken.
At this point you can mash the peaches with a potato masher or even mix with an immersion blender. Pulse until the large pieces are broken up and a jam- like mixture is formed. Allow the jam to cool before placing into a jar with a lid.
Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
You can keep this jam in the fridge for up to a month if it is kept in an airtight container. Enjoy!!
