Do you have a favorite go to flavor combination? For me it’s coconut and lemon and for my husband it is always peanut butter and chocolate, so these peanut butter kiss cookies are a tastebud pleaser for him. Not many people can resist these, childhood favorite, cookies!

Peanut Blossom Cookies Ingredients

  • Sugar-just regular granulated sugar
  • Brown Sugar- adds a depth of flavor
  • Butter- I always bake with unsalted butter so I can adjust the salt flavor as needed
  • Peanut Butter- the star of the cookie show in this recipe
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla
  • Flour- all purpose flour for this recipe
  • Baking Soda
  • Salt

How to make Peanut Butter Blossoms

These Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies start with a very basic peanut butter cookie recipe, right down to rolling them in sugar before baking. To make these simple peanut blossom cookies follow these simple steps. Scroll down for the complete recipe ingredients and instructions.

  1. Start with room temperature/softened butter and peanut butter, mix together with sugars, vanilla and eggs in the bowl of a stand mixer or with an electric mixer until smooth.
  2. Place a sifter over the bowl of the stand mixer and pour in the flour, soda and salt. Sift into the wet ingredients.

  1. Mix together the wet and dry ingredients until fully combined. The dough will look a little like sand and will come together easily when rolled into a ball.
  2. Pick up the dough and roll into one inch balls. Roll each ball in sugar and place onto a parchment lined (optional) baking sheet.
  3. Bake in a 350º F oven for 8-10 minutes. The cookies will flatten out as they are baked.

  1. Remove the cookies from the pan to a cooling rack and while still warm, place an unwrapped Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss in the center of the cookie. The chocolate will begin to melt, but this will help it stay in the center of the cookie when it cools.
  2. Now for the best part!! Eat the cookies! I say eat some while they are still warm and the chocolate is soft and melty!!

Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup peanut butter, smooth
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 48 chocolate kiss candies, unwrapped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350º F and line baking sheets with parchment paper if using
  • With an electric mixer or stand mixer, cream together the butter, peanut butter, 1 cup of sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs until well combined.
  • Sift in the dry ingredients; flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until a soft dough is form.
  • Place the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar into a bowl. Pinch off the dough and roll into one inch balls, roll each ball in sugar and place on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  • Place the cookies onto a cooling rack and while still warm, place an unwrapped chocolate kiss in the center of the cookie.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 4 days on the counter
  • Cookies can be frozen, place in an air tight container with parchment paper between layers of cooled cookies. Freeze for up to 3 months.
