Pork tenderloins are fairly inexpensive and usually come two to a package so they are perfect for feeding the whole fam, or even meal planning. Make both and serve one for dinner then use the rest for simple meals throughout the week! This pork tenderloin recipe is one of my favorites to make because it can be ready and on the table in just 30 minutes! Who doesn’t love that on a busy weeknight?!
Pork Tenderloin Oven Recipe
To make this simple and flavorful pork tenderloin oven recipe with a balsamic glaze, start by preparing the tenderloins. Remove them from their packaging and pat dry with a clean paper towel on all sides.
Make a simple spice rub by combining sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika. Sprinkle the spice mixture on all sides, pressing it into the tenderloin as you go.
Now let’s get to cooking this deliciousness!! Over medium high heat, heat 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil in a cast iron pan or another oven safe pan. This pork tenderloin is going to start in the pan and then finish cooking in the oven.
Brown the tenderloin on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Add in 2 teaspoons of minced garlic and cook and stir until fragrant.
Balsamic Glazed Pork Tenderloin
Once the tenderloins are browned on both sides add in the simple balsamic glaze. To make the glaze combine the balsamic vinegar, soy sauce and honey. Pour this over the pork tenderloins just before baking into the oven. This sauce is so simple but adds so much flavor. The sauce with simmer and thicken as it cooks in the oven, making it perfect for drizzling over the tenderloin when it is done cooking.
Place the glazed pork tenderloin into a 350ºF oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until cooked to desired doneness.
What temperature to cook pork tenderloin to?
I like to think of pork tenderloin as a red meat, you can cook it so that it is still pink on the inside, or cook it all the way through so that it is white throughout. Just like beef, the tenderloin will be a bit more tender if cooked where it still has a bit of pink in the center.
It is recommended to cook pork to an internal temperature of 145ºF. The best way to check to temperature is with an instant read thermometer. I use Thermoworks thermometers, I have found them to work the fastest and most accurate. (The following are affiliate links)
This is the thermometer that I use:
- Thermapen One
To check the temperature place the thermometer probe into the thickest part of the tenderloin, as soon as it reaches 145ºF remove the it from the oven.
Let the pork rest for 3-5 minutes before slicing into 1/2 inch slices.
Just before serving, drizzle the balsamic glaze from the pan over the sliced pork. Pour the sauce into a bowl to serve with the pork so people can add additional sauce as desired. It is so good, you might even want to double the sauce!!!

Would strongly recommend it. However, I did add onion powder & cumina to the seasoning mix. 🙂
